#2472 RACE HISTORY – CHAPTER I : 2017 Team Kawamura
In 2007, this chassis was the only Ferrari F430 GT2 car racing in Japan. The car was entered in the Japan Le Mans Challenge which was initiated in 2006 . The car was managed for this championship by Team Kawamura .
The main sponsor of Team Kawamura was KRH. The car which was initially delivered in plain silver was painted in white with blue KRH blue livery.
Run by Team Kawamura, it was all-conquering in the Japan Le Mans Challenge, taking class pole position at every race and the class win in all but one of the rounds.
Drivers on this F430 GT racer in 2007 were car owner and collector Kouji Aoyama (J) and co-drivers Shin’ichi Takagi (J) and Morio Nitta (J).
#2472 RACE HISTORY – CHAPTER 2 : 2009 Team Daishin
Chassis #2472 was next entered in the Japanese Super GT series in 2009, run by Team Daishin. Daishin became the new main sponsor, KRH continued to support the team and car in the 2009 season in a substantial way.
The car changed from white-blue in 2007 into orange with silver roof.
Drivers on the car for the 2009 JSGT championship were Takayuki Aoki (J) and Tomonobu Fujii (J) for all 9 races. For 6 races Koji Matsuda (J) joined them as 3rd driver.
The car was competitive in the GT300 class, with class victories in Round 7 - Mt. Fuji and Round 9 - Montegi, but were not consistent enough in the beginning of the season to have a chance winning the championship.
Team Daishin also entered the car in the 2009 1000 km of Okayama, which was the inaugural event of ACO's Asian Le Mans Series.
Drivers on the car for this race were Takayuki Aoki (J), Tomonobu Fujii (J) and (listed, never drove) Kouji Aoyama (J).
Chassis #2472 finished the 2009 edition of the 1000km of Okayama as 3rd in the GT2 class.
#2472 RACE HISTORY – CHAPTER 3 : 2011 Team Taisan - Cinecitta
After a sabbatical year for the car in 2010, renowed Team Tysan purchased the car in 2011 and entered it in the Japanese Super GT championship with main sponsor NetMove.The car was repainted in Rosso Corsa red while keeping the “silver” roof from the 2009 Daishin livery.
2011 was also the year the Ferrari 458 GT made its debut. The Ferrari 430 GT - penalized with 170kg of extra ballast - could not compete against its younger sister car, but remained competitive over the season in the GT300 class.
Drivers on the car in the 2011 season were mainly Shin'ichi Yamaji (J), Hiroshi Koizumi (J) and for certain races Kyousuke Mineo (J), Jun’ichirou Yamashita (J) and/or Mitsuyama (J)
RESTORATION OF THE F131EVOGT*2472*
Chassis 2472 was acquired by Corse E Passione in February 2019.
After consulting with Michelotto, the decision was taken to have a complete restoration and rebuild of the car with as final result a car RESTORED AT “CONCOURSE LEVEL” WITHOUT COMPROMISE. As for all restoration projects, Corse E Passione has done this job exclusively with Michelotto and Cognolato, in order to insure unmatched quality, unrivaled correctness and limitless focus on details. The car has been brought to the latest 2009 specs. The engine is at full power and is equiped with open restrictors.
The restoration job was finished end of 2020. The car is available to a valuable collector.
